

Development Proposals
The development proposals for the site include the following:

Approximately 1,350 residential dwellings including affordable homes and elderly persons provision;

Service centre of approximately 1.3ha to potentially include convenience store and other retail uses, public house, village hall, health facility and day nursery;

2 form entry primary school;

Allotments/orchards, formal and informal open space, green infrastructure, and landscaping;

Biodiversity Net Gain;
-
Pedestrian and cycle routes;
-
Vehicular access points from the A5, Whittington Lane and Holly Lane via the H1 allocation to the east;

Up to 1MW of solar energy and battery energy storage system (BESS) to supply electricity to the Service Centre;

Supporting infrastructure and utilities; and
-
Conservation of historic buildings and removal of derelict/unviable structures.
Merevale and Blyth Estates intend to submit an outline application for this development proposal in Spring 2024. Following the submission of a planning application, North Warwickshire Borough Council will consult local residents and other interested parties before reaching a decision.
